Climb for Real™ is an effort by a number of private individuals and amateur climbers who will summit Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of and funding for Real Medicine’s work around the world. From Google’s official blog, Google announced at the opening ceremonies of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) that they would be providing $1 million in charitable grants to support the relief efforts in Pakistan. Several NGOs continue to support recovery efforts in earthquake-affected areas of Central Java. Aid has now progressed to livelihood recovery work. One such source of support is coming from KOMPIP, which has distributed a US$43.000 first endowment to 147 neighborhoods in earthquake-affected areas of six villages in Klaten, Central Java Province.

A few nights later attended a cocktail party and art auction for Real Medicine Foundation at Lladro Gallery on Rodeo Drive. Founded by Dr. Martina Fuchs, this organization provides assistance for people around the globe during emergency situations. The good doctor was inspired by the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami in Sri Lanka, and flew to the area to help as many people as she could.
