In recognition of his work in forging a partnership between Real Medicine and the Nigerian Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Dr. Ufuoma Ejughemre was awarded with the President’s NYSC Honor Service award on December 6th in Abuja, Nigeria.
Dr. Ufuoma was posted to the clinic in Gure during his Nigerian Youth Service corp 1 year medical posting. All doctors in Nigeria participate in the NYSC’s medical volunteering program for one year before there residency at a hospital. RMF is proud to announce that Akbar Oedin Arif has been accepted as a participant in the 2008 Harvard Bridge Builders Conference. Each year Harvard hosts leaders from different developing countries to participate in a week long seminar on institution building, leadership, and other priorities of political and economic development. Real Medicine Foundation
Dr. Kevin Becker received the Humanitarian Service Award 2006 at Foundation’s 1st Anniversary and Fundraiser at the Lladro Gallery in Beverly Hills on Aug. 18, for his work following Hurricane Katrina. He will lead the Foundation projects on Teacher Training on Issues of Psychological Trauma in Children in downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row area.
Harvard School of Public Health awards students for work with Real Medicine Foundation awarded to Rubina Mumtaz and Omar Amir for their work with RMF Team Pakistan in May 2006.
