The Kathmandu Post has reported on the continued cold wave in Nepal and the toll it is taking on flood-displaced families. These families are without warm clothing or shelter, and many are suffering with hypothermia.
Cold has led to more than 40 deaths in several Tarai districts this winter. More than half of these fatalities have been reported in Saptari, where 25 people have died so far.

Real Medicine Foundation (RMF) arrived in Nepal shortly after the April 2015 earthquake, and we *continue to provide relief, medical, and educational support in several regions of the country. RMF Nepal’s cold wave relief efforts are concentrated in the Terai region. We are working with a local partner organization and the local government to provide relief through free health camps and blankets for the families most affected in the region.
