Prabhakar Sinha, RMF India’s Director of Programs, participated in the Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB) Sustainability Summit on Saturday, February 27th. Mr. Sinha participated as a panelist during a panel discussion of sustainability and entrepreneurship. They discussed how to turn ideas into projects and projects into successful businesses.
Here is a brief profile of each person requested to speak at this event:
Dr. Shanti Auluck, Chairperson & Founder member, Muskaan
Dr. Shanti Auluck is the Chairperson & one of the founding members of Muskaan – an NGO formed by parents and professionals to provide needed services for improving the quality of life of intellectually challenged children and adults and emotional and knowledge support to the parents. Dr. Auluck has been coordinating various services that the association has been rendering to intellectually challenged children and adults and their parents and families: Prior to Muskaan Dr. Auluck was working as a Reader, in the Dept. of Psychology, Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She took an early retirement to devote all her time to Muskaan. Under her able leadership, Muskaan’s efforts have been recognized by the MSJE, Govt. of India, Godfrey Phillips, CSO Partners, NCPEDP & Shell and similar organizations. Dr. Auluck was also awarded as the “Distinguished Women Entrepreneur” by Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India in 1999. Dr. Auluck is an alumnus of the Delhi University.
Prabhakar Sinha, Director of Programs-India, Real Medicine Foundation
Mr. Prabhakar Sinha is currently looking after the overall program operation of Real Medicine Foundation in India. Mr. Sinha is having over two decades of extensive social development experience of working in several states of India, focusing on maternal & child health, malnutrition, sexual & reproductive health & HIV/AIDS. He is proficient in program formulation, behavior change communication, advocacy with government organizations and the civil society sectors, setting up social franchisee networks, conducting monitoring and evaluation for major projects, and working on large developmentprojects for, or in partnership with international organizations, including CARE and USAID on the one hand and corporate houses, such as, Godrej Industries, on the other. He has handled assignments as the National Advocacy Director with Heroes Project (Godrej Industries) and State Program Rep. of CARE-India in UP. Mr. Sinha is having a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi.
Ms. Mamta Saikia, Vice-President And Head – Development & Alliances, Bharti Foundation
Ms. Mamta Saikia is the Vice-President and Head – Development & Alliances of Bharti Foundation. Bharti Foundation, the development arm of Bharti Enterprises was set up in 2000 with the vision ‘to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential’. It implements and supports programs in the fields of primary, elementary, senior secondary and higher education, with an aim to transform children into educated, employable and responsible citizens of tomorrow, with a sense of commitment to community in which they live. Continuing the tradition of contributing towards the nation’s agenda, the Foundation has announced ‘Satya Bharti Abhiyan’, an initiative to improve sanitation facilities in rural Ludhiana.
Payal Randhawa, Executive Director, Resource Alliance India
Payal Randhawa serves as Executive Director of Resource Alliance India. She brings with her a deep understanding of innovative social change models having worked in India’s dynamic social entrepreneurship sector for over a decade. She has held senior level positions with leading organizations, including serving as Executive Director at the National Association of Social Enterprises, India (NASE). Prior to NASE, Payal served as Director for the social entrepreneurship portfolio at the Khemka Foundation. She was instrumental in developing new programming at the Foundation including the Khemka Forum on Social Entrepreneurship, the Khemka Foundation Research Grant, the Khemka Foundation podcast series and the Legal handbook for social change ventures. Under her leadership the Foundation launched the India Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the India NGO of the Year Award.
Sabyasachi Dutta, Sr.Manager, CSR- Partnership at BoscoNet South Asia
A seasoned professional, having an experience of over 22 years, Mr. Dutta, is currently working as Senior Manager, CSR- Partnership at Bosconet South Asia where he is engaged in bridging the Gap between the Corporate and BoscoNet for a Sustainable model of flow of resources that will support the ongoing and future projects on Children and Youth.
