Let love live.

Not sure what to get Mom this year? As you get ready to celebrate Mother’s Day, please consider participating in Real Medicine’s Let Love Live drive to pay it forward!

First, the sad stuff: South Sudan’s maternal mortality remains the 5th highest in the world. Maternal mortality is unnecessarily high in South Sudan due to the fact that fewer than 20 certified midwives and even fewer registered nurses exist in the entire country. There is a severe lack of education and access to reproductive health resources that keep a mom in fighting shape.

Here’s what we’re celebrating: We will not let this continue! Real Medicine is proud to be part of a coalition supporting the first College of Nursing and Midwifery in South Sudan.

RMF CEO, Dr. Martina Fuchs, addressing students

We hope you will join our Let Love Live campaign by considering a donation to support this crucial healthcare program, honoring a mother in your life. Your donation will directly support the education of dedicated nursing and midwifery students who will change the maternal mortality rate in South Sudan and affect the lives of mothers and their children for generations to come. Talk about a butterfly effect.

We will post the names of the mother(s) you have chosen to honor by your Motherly Love donation (if you provide us with the name in the donation note) this weekend.

This Sunday, we salute all the wonderful mothers out there as well as our newest student class.
