In 2015, the authorities plan to facilitate the return of over 170,000 families to the de-notified areas of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). As of 21 May 2015, 26,946 families have returned including 1,551 unregistered families to South Waziristan Agency (SWA). An Inter-cluster assessment mission visited the de-notified areas North Waziristan Agency (NWA) to assess the humanitarian situation, identify the needs of the returning population, and to determine the feasibility of supporting returns. The mission found houses largely intact, but there were immediate needs for Food Security, WASH, and livelihood support. The area remains largely under control of the military. The second round of Bara returns to Shalobar will commence on June 1. All returns will be suspended for the month of Ramadan.
