Daniel Wakibi BA
Director of Programs, Uganda
Daniel Wakibi is one of RMF’s senior team members in Uganda. He joined RMF as a volunteer at Buwate Sports Academy, and was thereafter employed on a full-time basis as RMF’s Area Coordinator for Tororo to oversee RMF’s projects in Eastern Uganda. When the influx of South Sudanese refugees increased, Daniel was transferred to Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement to serve as Project Coordinator, and in 2017, he was promoted to Director of Programs, Uganda. Daniel is a graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Development. He also holds a Certificate of Administrative Law from the Law Development Center, Kampala and a Certificate of Community Policing and Crime Prevention from the Uganda Police Force. He speaks English, Lusoga, Luganda, and Swahili. Prior to joining RMF, Daniel served in the following capacities:
- Chairman of the Basoga Nseete Students Association, Nsamizi, Mpigi
- Project Coordinator with Butte Youth Farmers Association, Iganga District, Uganda
- Provision of Community Service and Livelihood Support to refugees in Nakivale Refugee Settlement Camp in Isingiro District with Nsamizi Training Institute for Social Development
Daniel is passionate about world politics and charity work. He loves making friends, reading books, and is a big football fan.
