Stella Akayo Kibuuka

Stella is RMF’s Senior HIV/AIDS Counselor based in the Panyadoli Health Centre III in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement. She has experience in both HIV/AIDS and psychosocial counseling. Stella obtained her first degree in adult and community education from Kyambogo University. After graduating, she secured her first employment with Save Foundation, where she was deployed in Kibaale District as a community health officer and counselor for HIV/AIDS. Having completed her tenure, Stella joined Global Health Uganda – a research project based on computerized cognitive rehabilitation therapy in malaria and HIV/AIDS in children. In order to refresh her management skills, Stella enrolled for a certificate in management at UCLA. When she returned to Uganda, she enrolled for a certificate in HIV/AIDS counseling with the Aids Support Organization (TASO). Stella loves adventure, reading, and interacting with people. She is fluent in English, Luganda, and Runyakitara.
