HIV/AIDS Counselor
Matia is a 27-year-old Ugandan national and a Munyankole by tribe. He holds a Bachelor of Development Studies from Kampala International University. Previously, Matia attended Rwenkobwa Primary School, Lwemiyaga Secondary School, and Nyamitanga Secondary School. Matia is experienced in the field of counseling, having previously worked in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement with Action Africa Help Uganda (AAH/U), InterAid Uganda, and Real Medicine Foundation (RMF). In October 2016, he left Kiryandongo to work with Medical Teams International (MTI) in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. He then rejoined RMF’s team in June 2017, when MTI operations ceased in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. Matia is currently working as an RMF HIV/AIDS Counselor in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, and he is glad to be working with the organization once more.
