Emmy Balizinya

Clinical Officer

Emmy Balizinya attended Buhinga Primary School in Fort Portal and then went on to Nyakasura School in Fort Portal for his Ordinary Level studies. After completing his Advanced Level at Ishaka Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, he was admitted to St. Elizabeth’s Institute of Health Professionals in Mukono, where he obtained his Diploma in Clinical Medicine in 2015. Emmy’s professional experience includes working with Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital and volunteering with Jinja Referral Hospital and African Drilling Services (ADA). In 2016, he worked with Medical Teams International (MTI) and was deployed in Zone 3 of Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. He then joined RMF’s team in July 2017 when MTI operations ceased in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement.

During his free time, Emmy enjoys playing football (American soccer), attending parties, reading novels, and swimming. He is fluent in Runyakitara, Luganda, Lusoga, Kakwa, and English.
