Dr. Alex Paul Tezita

Dr. Alex is RMF’s Medical Officer and Team Leader in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. He has extensive experience working in emergency situations and hard to reach areas. Dr. Alex earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Kampala International University in 2015. Previously, he completed his Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health at Mbale School of Clinical Officers in 2006 and a Certificate in Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Care at the Mildmay Centre in 2007.

Before joining RMF’s team, Dr. Alex worked for two years as a supervisor at Dopoth North Health Centre in Kabongo district, Karamoja sub-region, as well as serving as the Kabongo district HIV/AIDS focal person. Dr. Alex also worked in Bombo Military Hospital as a doctor in charge of junior residents.

During his free time, Dr. Alex likes playing and watching football (American soccer), listening to music, and going on outings. In addition to English, he speaks Lusoga, Kiswahili, Runyankole, Luganda, Lutoror, and Lugweri.
