
Anita Peace BA ACE
Sports Development Program Manager
Anita is RMF’s Sports Development Program Manager in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in Adult Education and Community Psychology from Kyambogo University, completed in 2015. The sports program is one of RMF’s psychotherapy initiatives, introduced to help refugees heal from post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental hardships experienced due to the horrifying scenes they witnessed in South Sudan or on the way to Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement in Uganda. The program is also intended to increase contact and encourage peaceful coexistence between refugees and the host community.
Prior to joining RMF, Anita worked with TASO Tororo, where she was part of the team providing psychosocial support to HIV/AIDS clients. She also worked with the Keshwela Group of Companies, where she served as a sales representative. Anita joined RMF as a data clerk in 2016 and was deployed to Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. As of May 2017, Anita successful passed the interviews for the position of Sports Program Manager in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement.
In her free time, Anita enjoys sports; she bicycles and plays volleyball. She speaks Jopadhola, Luganda, and Kiswahili.
