Agnes Babirye
Hairdressing Instructor
Having completed Senior Two, Agnes could not continue her education because of financial challenges. She dropped out and enrolled for a Certificate in Hairdressing and Cosmetology at Busiro God’s Way Hairdressing School in Jinja District. After obtaining her certificate in 2014, she opened a simple beauty salon in Namutumba, a town in one of the rural districts of Uganda. This salon enabled Agnes to generate some income, which allowed her to move her salon to Buwate in Kampala. While in Buwate, Agnes joined RMF’s team as a Hairdressing Instructor at Buwate Sports Academy.
Agnes speaks Lusoga, Luganda, and English. She loves singing, dancing, and making things beautiful.
