Geoffrey Ojok Komakech

Program Director, South Sudan

Geoffrey Ojok Komakech joined RMF South Sudan in October 2015 as Nutrition Coordinator and was promoted to Program Director in 2018. A South Sudanese national, he completed his training in Clinical Medicine and Public Health at the Clinical Officers Training School in Gulu, Northern Uganda in 2002.

Geoffrey then returned to South Sudan, where he has been working since. For the last nine years and before joining RMF, Geoffrey worked for several non-governmental organizations responding to Health and Nutrition emergencies across many states of South Sudan, namely as Nutrition Officer with Action Against Hunger (Action Contre La Faim, ACF); as Clinical Supervisor with Goal Ireland; and as Health Officer with World Vision International. His most recent assignments had him work with MSF Holland as Assistant Medical Coordinator based in Juba, and also with International Rescue Committee as a field-based Nutrition Officer for Aweil East County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

Geoffrey enjoys reading inspirational books and listening to gospel music.
