
Apio Doreen Celestine
Midwife
Apio Doreen Celestine is a South Sudanese national born in 1988. She attended both primary and secondary school in Uganda, completing secondary school in 2005. Apio joined the Yei National Training Institute in January 2010, completing her 18-month Certificate in Community Midwifery in June 2011. She worked as a community midwife and later won a scholarship to Maridi Health Science Institute (South Sudan) with support from AMREF. Apio completed her Diploma in Registered Midwifery in November 2015 and worked for Maridi Hospital as a midwife before joining Real Medicine Foundation’s team in November 2016. She is working as an RMF Midwife in Pibor Primary Healthcare Centre.
