Clinical Officer

Bishnu Prasad Sharma is RMF’s Clinical Officer working under our Gorkha Health Clinic program in Nepal. He has several years of experience of working as village health worker under Community Development Health Program (CDHP) organized by the UN Mission in the Chapagaun Health post in the Lalitpur district of Nepal. For over 16 years, he ran a health clinic in Lumjung district catering to the health care and needs of rural population.

Bishnu also has many years of experience working at health clinics run by an INGO in Gorkha district wherein he was responsible for providing medical treatments for around 55 people per day from three different Village Development Committees, VDCs (Arupokhari, Tamling, Deurali). He has also served as an Assistant Health Worker in government health posts of Dhankuta district.

Bishnu will provide various health care services to patients at the RMF Gorkha Health Clinic. He will lead and undertake day-to-day clinical duties such as walk-in clinic, emergencies, pre-placement, medical examinations and immunizations, and will also work towards ensuring increased access of targeted earthquake-affected populations, especially from remote areas and surrounding the VDCs of Arupokhari, Gorkha to curative, preventive and health promotion services.
