Kwaba J. Omwenga BSc

Grants and Development Coordinator, Kenya

Kwaba J. Omwenga is RMF Kenya’s Grants and Development Coordinator. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health (public health) from Kenyatta University, Kenya, where he is currently pursuing his master’s degree in public health (MPH). Kwaba is a certified public health practitioner with over 8 years of experience working in diverse environments, both in civil service and the private sector. He has a wealth of experience in planning emergency response, health education and promotion, and disease control, especially targeting vulnerable and marginalized populations, including refugees.

Kwaba is passionate and technically capable to aid in community-based interventions, project proposal development, and fostering collaboration and links between organizations. He is part of the guinea worm communication, health education, and promotion task force that spearheaded interventions which led to Kenya being certified guinea worm-free.
