Dr. Patrick Dupont is Real Medicine Foundation’s Country Director, Haiti. Dr. Dupont has a Doctorate in Medicine from the State School of Medicine & Pharmacology, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He is Board certified in Orthopedics & Traumatology and has a Fellowship in Orthopedics & Traumatology [AFS] with a Specialized Fellowship [AFSA] in hand and upper limb surgery from the Regional University Hospital, Fort-de-France, Martinique. He also has an Inter University Sport Traumatology diploma from La Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris, France and Regional University Hospital, Fort-de-France, Martinique. Dr. Dupont is a Professor of Traumatology at the State School of Medicine, Port-au-Prince. He also has a specialized studies diploma in Healthcare management, masters pending. Dr. Dupont was the Director of Centre Hospitalier du Sacré-Coeur/CDTI in Port-au-Prince until the hospital’s closure on April 1, 2010 following the earthquake of January 12. He served as its Medical Director from 2006-2008. Patrick is fluent in French and English.
