Serving Ugandans

Real Medicine Foundation has been serving Ugandans, Ugandan IDPs and refugees from other African nations since April 26th, 2008, when the RMF team first arrived from the USA to the Mulanda Refugee Transit Center. The main support program followed these refugees to the Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement in Uganda, offering material support but also a sense of hope that their lives can and will get better. To that end, we currently sponsor more than 1,600 students between nursery school and high school age, manage a health care clinic specializing in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, malaria and malnutrition and a Vocational Training Center that employs local instructors to teach marketable skills including hairdressing and tailoring. RMF has also been active supporters of the World Children’s Fund Mama Kevina Orphanage/School in Tororo since 2009 and the Buwate Sports Academy.
