Alphonse Mwanamwolho is RMF’s Deputy Country Director, Uganda; he is based in Kampala, and makes frequent visits to RMF’s projects in Kiryandongo, Tororo and Buwate.
Prior to joining RMF in 2013, Alphonse worked as a teacher for English language and Literature at Lake Katwe Secondary School; as a Mill Hill Missionary Student on pastoral experience; as Hospital Administrator for St. Joseph Kilgoris Hospital, the only hospital for the Masai and Kisii communities in the Trans Mara District, Kenya; as HIV/AIDS Counselor at Nkozi Hospital, Uganda; as Computer Instructor at the Continental Adult School, Kampala; as a Special Needs Teacher at Mulago School for the Deaf and Hard of Speech; and as a Producer of Programmes at the UBC, the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (National Radio). Alphonse holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Needs Education (PGDSNE) from Kyambogo University, a BA in Social Sciences and a Diploma in Guidance and Counseling Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi, a Diploma in Guidance and Counseling from Uganda Catholic Training Social Centre, and a Certificate in Radio and Television Production with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation.
In addition to English, Alphonse is knowledgeable in Uganda Sign Language and Kiswahili, and proficient in a variety of Ugandan local languages including Lukonzo, Luganda, Rutooro, and Kinandi of DR Congo. Alphonse is also skilled in audio editing, radio drama writing, production and acting and likes playing keyboard. His guiding principle is “Respect + Love = Peace.”
