Dr. Abdillahi H. Abib is an industrial engineer with experience in international economic development, project operations and management, teambuilding, leadership, production management, and business analysis. In addition to two master’s degrees, Dr. Abib holds a PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada.
Dr. Abib’s work experience includes managing a large data warehouse as Senior IT Manager for Sprint Telecommunications, managing production and quality control as Senior Industrial Engineer at the Chrysler minivan plant, and teaching industrial engineering at the University of Windsor, Canada. He was Vice President of African Horn Minerals LLC, and held the position of President and CEO at WNNN Big Data and Som Research LLC.
Although he has lived and worked in both the US and Canada, Dr. Abib always returns to his home country of Somalia, where he promotes peace and understanding through education and livelihood support. Dr. Abib has frequently donated new textbooks to colleges and primary schools. He also founded Eelo American University and supported the founding of Amoud University, Borama, by donating all books, desks, and equipment required to open the school. Dr. Abib has also implemented several projects funded by USAID, the US Department of State, Canadian International Development Agency, African Development Bank, UNESCO, and others. Dr. Abib is now working with RMF as Program Manager, Somalia, using his experience and skills to build our famine relief program and strategize how best to empower the most vulnerable communities.
