Richard Akuguzibwa

Nursing Officer

Richard is a Nursing Officer working for RMF Uganda in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement and deployed at the Reception Centre Clinic. He obtained a Certificate in Nursing from Mulago School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2013 and started his career by volunteering as a nurse with InterAid Uganda in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement. As a volunteer Richard exhibited a high level of professionalism and a strong work ethic. He was always active and available for work. When he expressed interest in joining the RMF medical team in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement, his positive attitude helped him get the job . Richard has backed his nursing qualification with other relevant training which include: a Certificate in Fundamental Principles of Leadership, Effective Feedback Handling and Communication from Kampala University of Nursing and a second Certificate in Health and Human Rights from Makerere University Health College. He is passionate about learning new things especially those related to health. During his time in school, Richard held a number of leadership positions: Secretary General Students for Equity in Health Care- Mulago Nursing Chapter, Sports Minister Mulago School of Nursing and Midwifery and Public Relations Manager Merryland High School Entebbe. In addition to English, Richard speaks Runyoro and Luganda. Richard enjoys watching international soccer and because Richard believes the principle of keeping fit he loves playing soccer in his free time.
